SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

Gallery Photographica presents the San Francisco International Photography Exhibition. On display at the Michelle O'Connor Gallery, from March 3 to March 24, are the 40 finalist photographs from Gallery Photographica's 2012 international competition. Submissions to the competition came from artists in 40 countries. Photographers represented in the Exhibition are from Canada, Croatia, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, and the United States. $6,000 in prizes were granted to 3 award winners.
The juror for the competition, Jeff Curto, is Professor of Photography at College of DuPage in Illinois, and is the producer of the popular History of Photography podcast series. He is on the board of the Society for Photographic Education, which is holding its annual conference in San Francisco, during the Exhibition, from March 22 to March 25.
Location: The Michelle O'Connor Gallery is at 2111 Mission St in San Francisco, one block south of the 16th Street BART station.
Reception: Saturday March 3 from 6 to 9 pm.
